Jealous...?

Try not to be jealous of my awesome Minion cake. =)

This one's my favorite:

All you need is twinkies, white smarties, and black sprinkles. =)

Super Saturday!

Does Relief Society even do Super Saturday's anymore?!
I remember my mom always going and making cool crafty things when I was little. Well, I decided to have my own Super Saturday. I headed to Porters (Rexburg's version of Michaels) and bought a canvas, wood letters, and blue paint.
And when you put all those together you get this...
Not bad if I do say so myself. This literally only took me 20 minutes. And that's just because I had to let the paint dry so I could do 2 coats.

Next Project!

You wouldn't guess that I'm in the middle of school right now by all the time I seem to have to do crafty things. =)
But I keep finding things I can try and are insanely cheap, so I can't resist! This weekend, I'm going to give this a try:

All this takes is felt and glue! That's totally do-able.

The directions for how to make it are here
and I got the idea from this lady on pinterest.

Oh how I wish I knew about that site when I was planning my wedding!!!

Procrastination!!

I saw a quote on pinterest awhile ago that said something like:

"The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life."

Its kind of true when you think about it. Well today I decided to procrastinate studying for test, and get my craft on.

Here's what I came up with:

I had to turn the flash off because it was glaring really bad, the colors are a lot brighter.

I'm going to put this in a black frame and hang it in the kitchen above the sink. =)

No lie, when Jason is making the big bucks as a chemical engineer, I'm totally going to be a stay at home mom that does crafts while my kids are at school. =)

Family Fun!

My Memorial Day weekend was great! It started out with going to my Great Uncle Elden's funeral in Pocatello, and then included lots of eating out, watching tv,
and spending time with family.

The funnest parts of these trips down to Utah is getting to see my niece Evie!! She's turning into such a little lady and its so fun to watch.

She's talking up a storm now and I thought I'd share with you some funny Evie moments from the weekend:

-Thursday night we were eating Nacho's and I was sitting next to her, and after like 5 minutes she just randomly started eating the food off of my plate! I was like,
well help yourself

-When she and I were shopping on Friday we saw a bird and she said something about it flying high in the sky, and so I said can you fly? And she looked at her arms, scruched her nose and said: "No, I don't have wings!" Sounding VERY disappointed.

-Sunday morning when we were getting ready for Church she wanted to be in the room with me while I was getting dressed. I was in my underwear when she asked me what they were. I said these are my "Unders." (thats what my family has always called underwear) And she responded with: "they're so pretty!"

-Also on Sunday she and I were putting our shoes on, and we both had shiny black shoes so I said, "Look! Our shoes are the same!" and she was like: "No, yours don't have a bow on them!" Well, excuse me!

-She saw this picture of me in my wedding dress as my desktop backround, and said
"Oh! Princess!! Pretty!"

-I got her a sing a long DVD for her birthday and one of the songs is meant to get kids moving and the chorus says "Work your body, everybody. Work your body everyday" and for whatever reason it stuck! She kept running around the house saying: "Work your body! Work your body!" OVER AND OVER!
