I Solemly Swear...

Taking a break from Tutorial Tuesday,

I'm in a craft rut.

I'm still busy reading Harry Potter, and am currently halfway through book number 4.

(Can I just say, "Hollywood" MUTILATED book 3!!)

As luck would have it, yesterday I stumbled upon some *free* Harry Potter fonts!

This blog post from Just Another Day in Paradise shares links to some AWESOME stuff.

So naturally, I decided to make some printables using my new fonts:

Weekend Happenings...

This weekend was full of fun!

Friday night Jason didn't get off work till 7:30, but we still had a fun date night. We drove down to Idaho Falls for a little fine-dining at our favorite place ever...Chic Fil-a!!

We also headed to the mall where I got a new scarf:

We finished the night off with some How I Met Your Mother on Netflix.

Not a bad evening. =)

Saturday my poor husband had to work REALLY early, so I finished homework and prepared my primary lesson. Later on that evening we got to go watch my cousin Kelan's band!
They were pretty awesome.

Their band name is Evicting Eden, check them out!

Sundays here at our place consist of about three things: Church, naps, and TV. (In that order!)

This Sunday I LOVED watching the Oscars. Billy did an amazing job, and I even teared up a few times.

Now time for another week!

Tutorial Tuesday: No-Sew Fabric Flowers

Ok, this tutorial will blow your mind.

These flowers are so cute, and take literally just a minute to make!

After doing this a few times, here are my tips:

-Make sure if you're using thinner fabric, don't work on a plastic table cloth. (My glue gun left some marks.)

-Don't forget to pinch the fabric when you're gluing the "pointy corners," that way any size button will work in the center. (See my yellow flower)

-Check out your craft store for a "button bin," before you head to Wal Mart. We found TONS for next to nothing.

Can't wait to put these on head bands for baby gifts!

Weekend Happenings...

This weekend was kind of awesome. Jason by some miracle had Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off!! It also helped that Thursday was payday so we could actually have some fun.

Friday:

We had a lazy day: Slept in, I went to class from 2-3, played Mario Party 7 (our newest addiction), Went to Applebees for Happy Hour with some friends, those friends taught us how to play Farkle, and we topped the evening off with strawberry shortcake!

Saturday:

Jason played video games while I got my craft space organized. I also cleaned out my closet and took a bunch of stuff to DI. We headed out to run some errands & bought TONS of buttons for my newest craft obsession. (More on that tomorrow!) Then we had a sushi date at "da Pineapple Grill," YUM!

Sunday:

Due to the fact that there was about 5 inches of snow on the ground, and we're both getting over colds, we stayed home from stake conference. We slept in and watched movies...on NETFLIX!! We decided to sign up for it, and OMG my life will never be the same!

Right now I'm starting Gossip Girl and going to catch up on Grey's. (I never watched seasons 3-6)

Together, Jason and I are starting White Collar, Prison Break, and catching up on How I Met Your Mother.

SO EXCITED!

Why We're In Love...

Happy Valentines Day! I love this time of year.

Three years ago around this time I started dating a certain someone who would eventually become the love of my life.

Three months later we were engaged,

and the rest is history!

Being married almost two years now, we've learned a lot about each other and every day is an adventure.

Every now and then little things happen where I realize how similar we are and I'll just smile

and think to myself,

"Thats why we're in love."

I'm one lucky lady, and I can't wait to see what the future brings.

What We Ate: White Chicken Enchiladas

A few nights ago I officially tried my first Pinterest recipe. I've written tons of them down before, but this was the first one we actually made.

It was a success!

I'm normally not a fan of enchiladas because of the red sauce. Its just not my favorite flavor. But these are made with a white, creamy sauce that is delicious!

My tips:

-Make sure you use Jack cheese and not Mozarella, (we almost did out of laziness) it makes all the difference!  

-Don't skip the last step where you brown the cheese, it made it even better! But keep an eye on it, I didn't do the full 3 minutes.

-We left out the chiles and used two 13 oz cans of chicken to speed up the process
