Mackenzie: 9 Month Update

Well, 9 months have flown by! Our sweet little babe has grown up and changed so much in just the last month. Kenzie is on the move!! She has finally figured out how to crawl, and is starting to get pretty fast.

Kenzie has been scooting around for a long time, but just couldn't seem to get the motion of crawling down. On the 13th we saw her move a little bit and then the next day she wouldn't stop! Its exciting, but now she's keeping me on my toes and annoying her sister by getting into everything.
Kenzie had her 9 month check up today and she weighs 22 pounds, 6 ounces and is 29.25 inches long. That's 95th percentile for both! Santa might be bringing her a new car seat, she is getting too heavy to carry around.
Kenzie has also mastered sitting up by herself, and only falls over a few times a day. Most of the time its because she's reaching for something she really wants and kind of forgets what her body is doing. I also saw her a few days ago sit herself up from the crawling position!
Here's how other things are going...

Mackenzie Likes
Playing with toys
Crawling
Crashing around in the walker
Squealing VERY loudly (usually along with her sister)
Getting into Marley's toys, especially the legos
Backing herself into a corner/getting her feet stuck under the couch
Going shopping
Daddy...total Daddy's girl!
Waking up early and talking to herself
All forms of baby food
Curious George
Pooping up the back of her diaper
Splashing in the tub with her sister

Mackenzie Doesn't Like
Noticing that you left the room
When her shirt gets wet (If only she would stop drooling)
Sitting in a poopy diaper
Stopping playtime for things like naps...she will hang on to the bitter end and basically fall asleep sitting up.
The bibs we use when feeding her in the high chair. (She literally cringes when she sees it coming)
Sitting still during a bottle if her sister is around
When she accidentally rolls onto her back while playing
Another new development is that Kenzie's hair has gotten SUPER curly! Its been growing like crazy, and especially after bath time she has the cutest little ringlets. Jason's cousin has a little girl with cute curls too and I asked her at Thanksgiving if her daughter's hair looked like that as a baby. She said it wasn't as curly, so I'm super excited to see if Kenzie keeps the curl as her hair gets longer.

This girl is just the best. Every day she brings a smile to my face, and I just love everything about her. She has the sweetest disposition and is just joy to have in our home. Can't wait for Kenzie to experience her first Christmas!

Outtakes from trying to take pictures today...
